ATRIUM attends ACES PRESIDENTIAL CONFERENCE

ATRIUM recently attended the ACES PRESIDENTIAL CONFERENCE (Association of Chief Estates Surveyors) held on Brentford locks. Unfortunately, unlike some attendees, ATRIUM were unable to attend by narrow boat. As always the ACES conference was a huge success for ATRIUM, the organisers and delegates alike. Many people visited our stand during the course of the conference and many interesting topics came up.

The speakers delivered some key messages and some home truths about upcoming budget cuts within Local Authorities as an effect of the recession. However, it was also highlighted that this provides a real opportunity for those within the property management profession to deliver greatly improved efficiencies so authorities do not have to make cuts in service and quality.

Yet again the conference provided a night to remember at the black tie dinner on the Thursday evening with a fantastic meal and even better moves from Lee Dawson as he took the stage for some Bollywood dancing with a local Indian dance group. Lee also expressed his thanks for the help and support he has received over the past year and introduced Bob Perry (Cornwall Council) as the next ACES President. ATRIUM wishes all the best to Lee and welcomes Bob for a successful presidency. We look forward to hearing from him further prior to the Liverpool event next May.
