PAM Event Feedback Form – Swan
PAM Networking & Drinks Evening – The Swan at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre – 25 June 2014
This, the latest in our series of Property Asset Management Networking & Drinks Evenings, saw us return to the Swan, venue for our popular PAM event back in February 2013. The event was attended by Property, Estates, Asset and Facilities Management directors and senior managers from across a broad spectrum of industries and public sector organisations.
The evening was a great opportunity to discuss important industry topics, challenges and innovations in an interesting setting. It included short presentations from Adam Checkley, Network Rail Route Asset Manager, Wales, on strategic asset planning, and Manhattan Atrium's Oliver Ridgwell on the Atrium Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution .
It seems everyone found the presentations from Adam and Oliver interesting and informative (of course!), but there was also unanimous agreement that the entertainment highlight of the evening was the series of short theatrical pieces presented by the Fitzrovia Company. Entitled "Bard Way, The Hard Way", the two actors enthralled us with some of Shakespeare's best insults, arguments and sonnets, plus an entertaining and informative trip through the language of Shakespeare, showing just how many of his phrases we still use today. A perfect way to celebrate Shakespeare's 450th birthday.
The programme for the evening was as follows:
- 6.00pm Registration starts - food and drinks throughout the evening
- 6.30pm Welcome & Introductions, followed by "Bard Way, The Hard Way"
- 6.45pm Short presentations from Adam Checkley and Oliver Ridgwell
- 8.00pm and 8.30pm More insults, arguments and sonnets from Fitzrovia
- 10.00pm Close
