Another PAM event was held at the British Library Conference Centre on Thursday 22 November. A little less formal than some of our previous events (which have focused around practical case studies and/or presentations from property asset management experts), the evening provided an opportunity for senior executives from the property asset and facilities management industries to spend an evening networking with their peers.
Oliver Ridgwell and Terry Pitt from Atrium, and Andrew Hawkeswood from IPD, gave short presentations (Terry raising some important issues related to the RICS BIM conference he had just come from), but the evening was really about networking, exchanging knowledge and ideas, and enjoying the wine, beer and canapés.
Another highlight of the evening was the special guided tour of the British Library’s Treasure Gallery. The Sir John Ritblat Gallery holds over 200 beautiful and fascinating treasures from the Magna Carta and Guttenberg Bible to Beethoven and Beatles artefacts.
We are very pleased to have had the opportunity to meet so many people, and the feedback we’ve received suggests everyone had an informative and enjoyable evening. As one delegate said: “Oliver – I very much enjoyed the event last night. The tour of the British Library was undoubtedly the pièce de résistance. Please pass on my thanks to the others.”
If you were one of the many people there, thanks for coming along and we hope you enjoyed the evening too. And if you weren’t able to make it (and even if you were, of course), please do put the date of our next event in you diary: Thursday 28 February 2013. More information to following shortly.
